IT Professionals share in the VMWare Service Manager and Microsoft .net vision

15th May 2001, Sydney, Australia. Ionix Service Manager and Microsoft today jointly presented a Breakfast Briefing titled 'Activate your Customer Support with a 100% web solution' attended by over 100 IT Professionals at the Sheraton on the Park Hotel in Sydney.

Speaking at the Briefing, Terry Clancy, SQL Server Manager for Microsoft Australia gave a graphic view of the future with Microsoft's .NET framework, including a video showing .NET working in everyday life.

Clancy explained how Ionix Service Manager was developing VMWare Service Manager to take full advantage of .NET, and gave real life examples of where VMWare Service Manager and .NET can deliver value in a customer support environment.

Martin Curtis from Ionix Service Manager announced that with Version 2.5 of VMWare Service Manager, corporations have a fully scalable, integrated solution that is 100% Internet architected and provides comprehensive functionality including issue management, problem management, Configuration Management and change management.

"All of this functionality is available today" stressed Curtis, who added "Ionix Service Manager's strategy is to deliver the lowest total cost of ownership solution in the market. Ease of deployment, and ease of B2B integration are key components in this strategy".
